Russell Watson is back from an operation he had to remove a polyp from his vocal cords. The result is an even more emotionally resonant release than before, with Watson giving it his all on a selection of original numbers. The album features songs written by Diane Warren and Gary Barlow and a guest appearance by Lara Fabian, and sees him consolidate his position as one of the UK's biggest classical crossover stars.

He applies his charming, full-bodied tenor voice to an eclectic set of songs on 2005's AMORE MUSICA. While certain tracks fall squarely into the opera aesthetic, others are more pop-oriented, with Watson commanding attention regardless of the style, his sense of drama is perhaps best served by his renditions of compositions from the films GLADIATOR (the majestic "Il Gladiatore") and ROB ROY (the delicate "You'll Still Be There for Me)

The album entered the UK Classical Charts at No.1 and the main UK pop chart at No.10. Ronan  Hardiman composed the song 'La Fiamma Sacra' (The Sacred Flame) with lyrics by legendary lyricist Franks Musker (Zucchero,Queen,Air supply). 'La Fiamma Sacra' was produced by Simon Franglen (producer of 'My Heart Will Go On" ,by Celine Dion) and is a stand out track on the album-a dynamic powerful piece which tells the story of Watsons own rise to fame and fortune from humble beginnings .
