North West Sings – No Room at the Church!

Churches across the region reported a massive increase in attendance last Sunday night (Dec 19th) when they became part of the North West’s biggest ever congregation for a carol service.
local pubs, residential homes, hospitals and a prison took part in this unique collaboration between local radio, church and community, joining together in song across the region for a special live broadcast on BBC GMR, Radio Lancashire and on the web
he service was hosted by BBC GMR’s Mike Shaft, with Sally Thornton and minister Rob White, from St James and Emmanuel Church in Didsbury, and featured readings by Sir Cliff Richard, Russell Watson, Gordon Burns, and The Bishop of Manchester.
